Well folks getting tired here so GD Night see you all tomorrow. AJ.

Did some more benching today and increased my scores a little by Overclocking the GPU a bit more. AJ.

yeah i need a new CPU... earth pulls 3dmark11 performance score of 9472...( Gfx: 16796, physics: 4188, combined: 3984) can we say CPU bottleneck? with gtx 670 in 2way sli, and a sandy / ivy, wouldn't i see (no o/c) scores of around 20k?

thanks Ajay... thanks a lot! lol

and how did i miss on Valley? DL'd last night and i gotta say i love the visuals. especially at 2560 x 1600

and again, AJ. i'm impressed. makes me wanna spend another 1400$US in upgrades!

You won't see 20k with 670s. 16k

Ajay57.

I dunno if I said this already, but VERY nice job. Looks great, good stuff for parts. I love a tech station for ease of use, I have no kids anymore and my cat isn't silly enuff. Glad you came to the 'flat world society'. You will learn to love the ease of cleaning etc.

Nice build, your getting a following!

And you don't have to worry about Ying/Yang case cooling anymore, you are balanced with the flow of the universe.

That's kinda low, unless you have tesselation enabled in the Catalyst 3d settings. (most folks disable that for benching)

If its on from the start, then yes, its on. I have never disabled anything.

And yes i thought it was low too, since the cards were overclocked at the time. They score mid 14k with no OC.

First of all Conumdrum a nice compliment from you is just great my friend, yeah its working out just fine the Benching Station. As for TB there just give it a go the Unigine Valley and as ED said to me just go! Pierre if you want to try switching off Tessalation just flow this link i posted for you, but when your playing your car games make sure you put it back on again!!! AJ. :)

Wow, last time I o/c'd a GPU was a 6800 ultra when I first built my socket 939 rig. I'm startin to feel the fever again... that P9472 falls somewhere around 395th place on hwbot, though... don't know if that would help or hurt the team! 16k vs 9k though... shows just how old my cpu really is... 10k combined score vs 4k...

All I gotta say is this bench build of yours, AJ, is inspiring me to want to build something better than what I got.

TB, That's what its all about really, just to inspire people to look at things in a different light. My personnel aim of this build is to show the full potential of this new Benching Unit and its full possibility's to the wider membership. That you don't necessary need to have a PC Case to enjoy our hobbie and also the advantages. I.E. For cleaning, changing parts and lack of Airflow problems to resolve as well. Also like a case you can personalize the Bench to what colors you like and use either Air or even Water cool with something like the new Swiftech unit. AJ. :)

As you can see the color choice is up to ones self and preference! ;)

By the way ED did a Render Test on my 7970 today and as you said it went from PCI-E 3.0 to PCI-E 2.0 During the Test. Which confirms the Mobo is 3.0 but the CPU is 2.0 so thanks for the Info on that. But just a quick question does that affect Bench Marks at all?

Sorry i was looking further along the box your correct it was 1.1 on idle and 2.0 during the Render Test. It states in GPU-Z PCI-E 3.0 at the first input in that box obviously that means nothing then. :)

So as little as 1% the Diff between 2.0 and 3.0 @ x 16 in the slot!

Got my HD 7970 6GB Overclocked @ GPU 1145 / MEM 1625 Board Power Li @ 15. Gave me a small increase in my overall score.

To try to keep things interesting i did some more runs on the valley today and improved my score. Also i installed a Earth connection to the bench unit, seems to make things a bit better. AJ. :)

This is my latest Benching results using the Dimastech Mini V1.0 doing a Valley run yesterday. Got my HD 7970 6GB Overclocked to GPU CLK 1200, MEM CLK 1700 and still running smooth so far! AJ. ;)
