Typically, you're only getting a small increase (couple of %) at max anyway.

With my EVGA I was at +120 core, and +1000 on the mems. so about 2100 on the core, sometimes a little higher.

how can i test if this card is good? its a refurb off amazon it encodes movies ok, but i think its not clocking up as much as it should and staxrip a encoder i used with my 2060 super keeps crashing say the encoder has stopped? i did driver clean to remove old gpu driver and installed newest its either the card or this 850 watt psu is struggling with it

Run 3dmark (or similar) with gpu-z running and look at the chart. Or have afterburner/etc running and look where the clocks are going

I can't imagine that PSU is struggling with it. I have a 4090 and 13900K with an 850W.

The only way it would be struggling is if there was a short somewhere causing the rails to sag, or the PSU itself is tired, and starting to sag.

I fed mine a steady supply of dim light and plenty of cool air, being in a Canadian basement
