I've Networked 3 PC's through a cheap HUB adn want to know how to set up the internet throuhgh the LAN.

I've got a cable modem connected to mine and it's this modem that I want the other 2 PC's (my son's) to share. Do I have to set up a proxy server thingy or do I set my PC up as a server?

Oh, and we all running Win98 SE with client for microsoft networks running.

Cheers

You will need either a proxy/sharing program or use Windows built in Connection Sharing, but that's a pain in the butt and requires an additional NIC installed in the host machine.

The easiest thing to do to share your connection is to get a cable router, let it do the connection, and set all the computers to DHCP.
