Here are some updates on the mod so far.


I've done some sanding and some painting. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with the window mod. I haven't made up my mind if I want to do a window with an etch or if I was to do a custom window design. I will have to do all of my cuts before I paint.

I also still need to figure out how I'm going to get my Spiderman head working.

Pictures are hard to use when gauging the quality of the paint, but these pieces turned out really well IMO. I really like the colors I chose.

The top 5.25 bays will be painted blue and the bottom 2.5 bays will be red. Both paints are a metallic anodized looking color.

I was thinking about maybe adding one of these to the mod. This could be mounted under the spider design I cut out on top of the case.

What do you guys think? Is it worth spending an extra $30.00?


EDIT: I actually saw one for sale at a museum shop. It was too big. Nix that idea.

Yeah, that was what I was going to say. Way too big, it was AC to, so you'd need a switch inside your case or something at least. Would have been a pain. Nice paint job on those parts, they look great. Oh, for window molding check out the stuff that this guy used.

looks great! i dont like spidey, but this will be tight.

You might have said, but what happened to the first fuxored case? You could have always cut a spidey design into some lexan over the cdrom drive or got a new sheet of aluminum/steel and cut out a grill type thingy. Just a though. Hey! maybe you could turn the old case into a Venom case! Then you could have the spiderman and venom next to each other!

The Dremel is an XPR400 model. Works excellent. The paint I got from AutoZone. Check the photos ot's called Plasti-Kote.
