Dell 530 / Linux lite Build

So I've been looking at what to the Mrs as she's starting back in education.

I looked at Chromebooks, notebooks, 2nd laptops for upgrading etc and we came across this Dell 530 from a family member for free.

So I though I'd try my first go with Linux and turn it into a nice machine for her.

It was originally running Windows Vista - very slowly... More to come soon!

Linux Lite 4.4

Pentium Dual Core CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz

Dell 0RY007 Mother board

1GB Ram

250GB HDD

I'm looking to getting an SSD, HDD and upgrade the ram and a graphics card so it runs just abit smoother but for now it's running nicely.

Not looking to spend loads though.

Nice project. Linux breathes new life into older hardware, will be quite functional and a pleasure to drive.
