EKWB Announces Direct Die Cooling Solutions for LGA1700

In a recent press release, EKWB announced an all-new direct die cooling solution for Intel’s 12th and 13th-generation Core processors. Direct Die Cooling (DDC) requires the user to remove the Integrated Heat Sink (IHS) from the processor and then replace the Thermal Interface Material (TIM). The direct die cooler is then installed without the IHS and can significantly improve temperatures. EKWB’s DDC kits come with an EK-Quantum Velocity² Direct Die D-RGB (Limited Edition or Nickel and Plexi) CPU water block, delidding tool, EK-Exact Mount and ILM replacement die guard, Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal, and two foams for preventing liquid metal spillage. Pricing is not as bad as you might think with the Nickel and Plexi kit coming in at just under $300 before tax and shipping. Pre-ordering has already begun and shipping is expected to start in mid-February 2023. For complete details and pricing, please read EKWB’s press release below.

EKWB Launches EK-QuantumDelta2 TEC CPU Cooler for LGA1700

Late last week, EKWB launched the EK-Quantum Delta2 TEC CPU cooler for Intel’s latest LGA1700 socket CPUs. Designed for maximum single-core overclocking and better multi-core overclocking than water cooling alone, the EK Quantum Delta2 TEC relies on the Peltier effect to reduce temperatures below ambient. The cost for EK’s latest TEC cooler is quite high, so this is not a cooling solution for enthusiasts on a tight budget. EK is accepting pre-orders now with an expected delivery date later this month. How much is it you ask? Ek expects the MSRP to be around $540 US dollars.

EKWB GIGABYTE GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming Full Cover Waterblock Review

EKWB has released a lot of great cooling solutions, be it, CPU blocks, GPU blocks, parts for a loop, or entire custom loop kits. We reviewed the full cover block EK made for the 295×2 previously and with good results in our loop. Today we are going to look at another high-performance full cover water block made especially for Gigabyte’s monster GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming card. The EK-FC980 GTX Ti XG reviewed here actively cools the RAM, GPU, and VRM’s with water flowing directly over top of them. If its anything like the results we saw before, things are are going to get a lot cooler around here!
